About Lahaina

Lahaina is considered to be one of Maui’s sparkling towns.

Dubbed as the “jewel in the crown of Maui”, the town of Lahaina is the second most frequented area on Maui, just next to its lovely beaches.

Blessed with a colorful history, the town of Lahaina lies between the tranquil waters of the Auau Channel just in front the island of Lana’i and the bountiful peaks and valleys of the West Maui mountain range.

There’s plenty of exciting activities awaiting you at Lahaina – be it shopping at the world-renowned Front Street, going snorkelling on the nice blue waters or maybe bathing under the tropical sun on its wonderful beaches.  Surfing enthusiasts are sure to have a time of their life when they visit Olowalu, Launiapoko, Lahaina Harbor, Lahaina Breakwater an d the notoriously known area known as the Shark Pit.

Lahaina had a wild history during those times of the mid to late 19th century, when it was a haven for old Whalers.  The crews of the whaling ships were often known to gulp down pints of grog and have always been close to trouble after their long passages at sea.

Today, Lahaina offers a more family-oriented ambiance for its visitors, although it never falls short when it comes to throwing big and exciting parties in the Hawaiian Islands.  Known as the Mardi Gras of the Pacific, the Lahaina Halloween is one of the biggest parties the island has to offer, with more than 20,000 revelers partying in all sorts of costumes in celebreation of Maui’s biggest show of the year.
