Hana is a small town located in the center of Maui. It is famous for the Road to Hana. The Road to Hana offers tourists the opportunities to explore the scenery in the surrounding environment. The road is about 52 miles long. It will take about 2 – 4 hours to complete the scenic drive at the Road to Hana. While traveling on the Road to Hana, you will come across many narrow bridges.

There are 600 curves on the Hana Highway so you must be careful when driving. There are 54 bridges you need to cross on the Hana Highway. Out of the 54 bridges, only 46 bridges have one lane. The rest of the bridges have two lanes. Hana Highway is listed as a historic site in the National Register of Historic Places. Hana Highway has become a popular tourist attraction in Maui. If you happen to visit Hana, you should definitely visit this highway. The public can access most of the beach properties along Hana Highway. As you travel on the highway, you will pass by various landscapes such as rainforest, waterfalls, and ocean. If you want, you can stop by at the roadside to get a good view on the scenery.

One of the landmarks in Hana is the St. Sophia Church. You can visit the Hasegawa General Store to buy general merchandise. The Hana Ranch Store offers a variety of souvenirs. If you want to sunbathe, you can go to Hana Beach Park. Hamoa Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Pacific. You can carry out all kinds of recreational activities at Hamoa Beach such as snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing. The best place to view the underwater scenery is the beach at Waianapanapa State Park. The Waianapanapa Beach is a beautiful black sandy beach. The Kaihalulu Beach is located quite near to Hana as well.

Hana is a moderately large town with over 2,200 populations. The Haleakala National Park is located nearby to Hana. A number of swimming holes can be found in the Haleakala National Park. Haleakala National Park has many rare native birds. You will get to experience the cool breeze when walking through the bamboo forest. The Haleakala volcano is situated in the Haleakala National Park. You can spend the night by camping at the park if you want to hike the whole mountain area. When hiking, you will see many types of native plants such as nohoanu, honeycreeper and etc.
